The new DL&W extension and station brought out dignitaries and transit buffs Monday morning.

Buffalo's NFTA Metro Rail system opened what has been described as its first major expansion since 1985. It's not a big one in terms of length but it is in terms of placement and structure. BuffScan was on hand during the grand opening to verify this impression and provide some follow up insight.

- Amherst NY Scanner posted on the aftermath of a car accident last Friday.
- Buffalo Fire & Rescue On Scene Photos posted two response collages (Set 1) and (Set 2) of a fire response to 56 E. Depew Ave.
- Buffalo 716 Street News posted on Friday, and excellent post incident footage of a vehicle accident they say occurred at South park & Aldrich.

Creepers on Cameras
I'll try to avoid the usual "Christmas Scrooge" or "It's that time of year for thieves" lead-ins here but let's be clear, it sucks when someone just up and walks away with your Christmas light.
This allegedly happened in the area of Lafayette Avenue in Buffalo's West Side last week.
